About The Xgroove

The Xgroove was founded by extreme drummer and drum teacher, Chad Peters. The Xgroove came about as a way to play more complicated drum parts without over playing for the music. Chad knew that simple drumbeats were the way to go. Chad had to find a way to play around these simple drum beats with unique ideas. After years of many failed attempts to make his ideas flow, he knew that a system had to be in place for this idea to work.

The Xgroove System was designed to develop fluent drumming. The only way to do this was to go back to the very beginning and structure from there. Chad began stacking different drumming techniques on top of simple drumbeats. And ,in turn, The Xgroove System became a multi level lesson plan suited for students of all skill levels. 

Drum Teacher Chad Peters

Chad Peters got his start in the local metal scene of Las Vegas NV. He played in the local metal scene for years with his two bands Corrupt The Righteous and Of The Gods. After his last band broke up, he decided to take a new approach to the drums. Chad began his journey into ambidexterity and independence on the drums.

As an open-handed player, Chad had some experience with his left side. So what he did was build a left and right sided drum set. He devoted years to developing his left side playing. And from there Chad began fusing his left and ride sides into a new way of drumming. A distinct and innovative style, pushing the boundaries of drumming.

Chad Peters' drumming approach combines extreme drumming concepts and simple grooves. His unique coordination allows him to create unique patterns with his hands and feet. Chad continues to explore the depths of ambidexterity. He will continue pushing his limits and expanding his musical horizons.
